The Good News Express is a book series for children ages 3 – 5 that teaches character-building with adorable little creatures like Finney, a sweet cuddly bear.
In Thanks, But No Thanks Finney learns the importance of saying thank you to others and the effects our displays of gratefulness (or lack, thereof) can have on others. The book is accompanied by a CD with catchy songs that are completely integrated into the book with musical notes indicating when to play the songs.
You can also listen to the entire story and songs from the CD rather than reading aloud. My kids loved this as they could sit quietly by themselves and follow along with the CD.
Tony Solerno does an excellent job writing for children in a way they can understand. The showcase of this book series is definitely the amazing illustrations by Tim Davis. This man has been gifted with a wonderful talent. The illustrations alone make these books a worthy purchase.
You can purchase Thanks, But No Thanks or any of the other 3 books in the series for $7.50. For a mere $20.00, you can get the full set.
