Okay so for us, summertime just really means lots of air conditioning and doing extra fun stuff on the weekends. We’re still plugging away at schoolwork every day, but it’s seems like we’ve finally hit a nice stride. Funny, huh? Just when most people are unwinding and taking a nice break, we’re steadily gaining momentum in our daily rhythm.
Honestly, I think it’s just because we’re such a cold-loving family. The kids have zero desire to be outside in the summer and only venture out when forced or the sun has hidden itself. Truthfully, I don’t mind that at all. We do lots of gardening in the evenings and spend the daylight hours on life and learning. Our mornings are always for bookwork. We get that out of the way by lunch and then we spend the afternoon on chores, reading a good book, doing craft projects etc. Anything involving air conditioning. : )
I keep telling my husband we seriously need to consider moving to Canada. I’d pack up in a heartbeat. For me, it’s all about weather, environment… something about the northeast that just calls every ounce of my being. And it’s CANADA! Hello!! Home of hockey, snow, stable economy… What about you? Where do you dream of moving off to and why?
