So I mentioned before that I thought this curriculum was going to be a Godsend… yep. It was. = )
We are very much enjoying this science program and the fun hands-on projects. Not too complicated, no weird supplies. Just lots of fun that even the 5 year old can get involved in. The most difficult thing to find was the owl pellets that must be ordered online and even then an alternate activity is provided.
I really like having the provided coloring pages for the kids to work on as I read the material. We often have the kids draw or color related material as we read aloud. It keeps them focused on the subject at hand.
Another favorite thing is having all the coloring pages, charts and forms right in the book ready to be photocopied. We are doing this curriculum as a family which means we have learners from age 10 all the way down to 5. Some of the forms I only need two of. Others, such as the coloring pages, I need 4 copies of. I like the flexibility of printing off how many I need rather than having to buy 4 full sets that I may or may not use up. There are no student books to purchase, just the teacher’s manual with all the information and forms bound up together in one book.
But my absolute most favorite thing about this curriculum is the accurate, scientific, factual information presented that strengthens our faith and knowledge of Go
d’s creations. I don’t have to wade through loads of theories that are presented as fact in order to push an agenda that is against God, the creator. If you remember, at the beginning of this year, I still didn’t have a set curriculum plan for science. I had lots of lapbook material ready to go but was still undecided about any other resources. I knew that God would provide us with the knowledge and material. I just had no idea it would be in a full-out science curriculum that proclaims His Word and truth in every lesson. I am so thankful for this material by, author,Stephanie L. Redmond. I cannot thank her enough.
