I’ve been settling into my Inkwell Press flex inserts the past few weeks and I must say, it’s definitely been an adjustment. I really really really miss my vertical layouts and all the room they offered. I find myself with a lot less room for fun stuff in my flex and get a little sad about it. Of course, jumping from the ginormous Happy Planner makes the shift a much more dramatic one. I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it. Eventually.
In the meantime, I remembered seeing Cori, the Reset Girl, using a pre-planning worksheet thingy in one of her vids and of course it was amazing and I wanted it and couldn’t remember where she said she got it. *sigh* (always happens) So I decided to make one and share it here with you guys!
Then, when I was checking out the imperfects sale at Inkwell (don’t worry, I didn’t buy a classic even though I really really really wanted to) and it was then that I realized it was an Inkwell product! I didn’t buy my inserts from Inkwell which is why I didn’t know that’s where they were from.
So anyhoo, I designed this pre-planning worksheet to get my schedule in order before committing it to my daily planner. It’s not nearly as nice as the Inkwell version but it does the job and it’s free. =)
Pre-planning your week
The idea here is to get a good look at all you need and want to accomplish in your week before you start putting pen to planner.
- Jot down any appointments or events taking place on specific days.
- Make a short list of essential tasks – things that absolutely must get done this week.
- Make a laundry list, if you will, of all the things you’d like to do this week.
- Now you can take a good look at each day and start assigning tasks from your “to do” list to specific days.
- Once you’re all done, you’re ready to put it in writing… in your planner, of course. =)
