I can’t believe April is half over already! It’s been busy and here’s what I’ve been up to…
A Crocheted Chevron Crib Blanket
I finished the blanket I’ve been working on.
It was a super easy pattern, but it took quite a while to finish because of the tightness of the stitching. I think one reason people like to make afghans is because they generally can be worked up quickly with chunky yarn, a large hook, and a patter with lots of open work. This particular crib blanket was none of those. lol But the result was worth the effort.
CKC-ST. lOUIS
I had great fun attending the Creating Keepsakes Convention in Collinsville, Il. I took a total of nine classes and learned lots of fun new techniques to incorporate in my various paper crafts.
I did a little shopping at the vendor fair.
I was on the hunt for planner goodies and let me tell you, I was not disappointed.
Making Belt Bracelets
After what seemed like an age, I finally got all the belts I’d purchased over the last month cut for bracelets.
We just watched the final Hunger Games film again and I was inspired to make some “real or not real” bracelets.
Of course, Tali needed a bracelet so we made a “Shadow Bolts” cuff for her.
Hand lettering Practice with Watercolors
Dawn Nicole is my favorite hand lettering artist and she has more awesome FREE practice printables this month. I downloaded a few and have been practicing with both brushes and my brush pens I picked up last month. I really like the pens for lettering.
Today I decided to try something a little different and painted flowers.
